The Royal Oak became famous in Wales during the Battle of Worcester in 1651 when King Charles II used it as a hiding place.Thisbeautifully handcrafted silver and rose gold necklace contains the famous and rare Welsh gold that the Clogau jewellery brand has become so famous for.

The Clogau brand was first brought to life when a local Welshman named William Roberts made an exciting discovery in the rural mountains of Snowdonia. Roberts was able to extract a stockpile of rare Welsh gold that was then used exclusively to create the jewellery that founded the Clogau brand.Since then, Clogau jewellery has become renowned around the world not just for their striking designs but for being worn by members of the Royal family including Her Majesty the Queen and the late Princess Diana of Wales.
