This beautiful necklace features a pear shaped piece of multi faceted Blue John set within 18 ct white gold, the central stone is surrounded with 47 set diamonds and two larger ones below the bail. Local legend insists that this beautiful purple, yellow and white banded fluorspar was first mined in the Derbyshire village of Castleton during the Roman Times, it is now considered to be one of the world's rarest minerals. With the Blue John stone being so natural every piece is unique, the colours and veins can vary.
